Wow,interesting post guys.i would offer 1,200.00 to 1,500.00 for the set if it's in good condition and complete..Myself would not offer 500.00 for the set[ia'm with kevin] on this one..hes a good guy i have had a few deals with him and its been great for both of us..Let me tell you guys a fast story about buying vintage drums.First i have been selling and buying vintage drums for over 30 years..back in 1989 i have a friend who know of a set that was for sale, the lady had no clue what she could sell the set for or even to ask for the set,her dad played it in the 1940s.I went to looked at the set but when i did an seen the set it was like having a devil on one side of me and angle on the other,My heart and mine told me to do the right thing,or it would came back a bit me on the a**..the set was a Ludwig 1940s Top hat and Canes set 4 pc bass, tom ,floor tom, matching snare with all cymbals hi-hats,a ride,3 crash cumbals, wood blocks ete, ete, all hardwear, even an extra Ludwig 1939 B/B snare...Now i could have made an offer saying oh it's an old set i give 100.00 for it But i didn't do that my offer was over 8,000.00,i got the set..She was so happy with that offer and i was happy too everybody won.....Mikey
