I used the snare on a real funky track. I had the top head pretty tight. The rim is a thin nickel hoop so it's kind of hard to do rim shots. I also used it for
some military style rolls in the middle of a rock tune. Used it for something else too but can't remember what it was.
I used the cybals too. Mostly cymbal swells with mallets. Didn't want to smash them.
