Can anyone tell me what model this is?
Slingerland Snare Drum Last viewed: 31 minutes ago
Looks like a Festival but don't know if they made those in wood.
Creighton
That is a student Radio King from 56ish with Nickel plated trim and Mahogany shell. Single ply, maybe....should be.

The Chicago badge places it before the move to Niles which was in 1961 or 62 (I think). Looks like nickel hardware with a black lacquer finish on a 3 ply Maple/poplar/mahogany shell. Lacquered drums had a maple outer ply (wrapped drums usually had mahogany). This probably wouldn't be a drum to re-wrap because it would likely end up oversized.
I believe this would be considered a "Hollywood Ace" model. At least it is very similar to that model.
Edit: Oops..didn't see the throw off. not a Hollywood ace...I also think it's a Student Radio King. This is from the 55 catalog, Later ones probably went to standard hoops.
It is the Slingerland Deluxe student model radio king.
Could have some extra holes there?? Maybe a Radio King minus the strainer guide..
Cheers

I was waiting for VM2k so we could know what it is, and why I had trouble with the hoops.

I think Slingerland stopped offering nickel hardware for 59, if that helps any.
Of course, I could be wrong.
